To be fair I think Begovic is still a good top level keeper but Lonergan is a crap Kopite my club is getting infected

Virginia, the other keeper in the U23s, is almost certainly going on loan to Sporting Lisbon, and our only other keeper is Leban, who although very highly rated is a child. I'm not thrilled to have this former Liverpool keeper on our books but its not as pointless as some point out.

It is pointless. We’ve lost Tyrer (19) to injury so feel the need to bring in another ancient keeper to go behind Begovic even though we have Barrett (19) and Leban (18) more than capable of taking up that all important 3rd keeper spot.

Why are some people so hung up on the fact that he sat in the stands over the park for 12 months? He played as much for them as Gerry Peyton did for us!

An aging keeper who has barely played over the last few years is probably a greater risk than giving one of the young keepers a go. I think we should have waited and if anything happened to the other 2 I'm sure there is a rule where you can sign a keeper anyways. Waste of a wage and a space in the 25 man squad.
