Doesn't matter. I recall Marcus Bent being a better signing than Niasse. Does that mean we should only ever spend buttons on forwards? One example is not enough to justify a slap-hazard approach to having a squad.
How can you be certain a better keeper would be available, in say, November?

There maybe wouldn't be but there would be someone and they can't be much worse than a player who has played 14 games in the last 5 seasons. I just think it's an absolute pointless signing.
