I got the impression Valente was happy quietly winding down his years as a squad player with the odd long-term injury or two, as you get when you are older. (Although possibly not to the extent of current hero Mr VDM.)

I read in a interview for a Portuguese magazine that he wasn't happy with the lack of first team chances before he got injured.

Probably for game time, he won't get that here realistically. Cahill and Fellaini are ahead of him, Jo's signed in and Saha's close to returning.

Moyes was right though, I agree.

Says a lot about his desire, and beleif in his own ability though mate!

I mean hes hardly likely to get a better oppurtunity coming back from Hull at the start of next season with Yak, Vaghan, and Saha back.

I think his days may be numbered now, no one makes a fool out of Moyes and if Jo proves a hit and is signed youd have to say Vic is the weaskest link.
 
Irrespective to his state of mind ,he knows where we are at present , and he still wanted out . Ok Son , come seasons end , thats what you'll get . As for now , see the young lads over there ? .... Being honest , he hasn't trained on , and , a little like Branch , Cadamarteri , he has the same faults as the ay e broke into the side . The only goal he scored in the league last year , last game , was a yard out , open goal , and he still nearly skied it . Put it into you-tube and watch the expression on his face . Lad , you've let me down .
