I didn’t think he was dreadful. It’s as good an opponent as he is going to face, and whilst he only really had that diagonal cut run in terms of a hints of note, he did stop the leading chance-creating fullback from creating any chances.

Always looked for the ball yesterday which is a good sign, though at one point he missed a really good and obvious opportunity to find Iwobi, but then - it was Iwobi.

I don't think we can judge any of the forwards on games like that, necessarily as long as they didn't make too many glaring errors, which Gordon didn't. He will have taken a boost in confidence from having got through that game unscathed though.
Norwich will give a much clearer picture of the level he's at, should he start. And I think there's a decent chance he will as Ancelotti doesn't seem to want to start Bernard.

I wouldn't judge anything from yesterday, seemed to have been told to do a man marking job on the best right full in the world.
