He’s just a baller. Hope he doesn’t lose that edge he has to take people on.

Word up.
Looks better on the ball than Ross, which is awesome. Quicker too in his movements and thought process. Very exciting...terrific how he went past defenders and opened up that chance. He’s got goals in his locker, he strikes the ball sweetly, it’s only a matter of time.
Its difficult for Academy forwards to break into the PL because the skill set is so high but Gordon really looks the part.
I think we’ve developed one.

I said afyer the derby I saw shades of Mcmanaman in him which have shown more in the more games he's played. He needs to learn to be more selfish/ruthless when he gets a chance, as he actually strikes a good ball, is relatively two footed and has a good eye for goal. You sense that will come with time and exposure though. It was nice the other day to see him demanding the ball when we were struggling, when he could see others hiding.
While he's far from the rounded player, he does things that many people can do or cope with. The way he moves with the ball, either side is quite unique. James Justin was completely bamboozled by him. I played fullback from centreback when I went to mens football and I've had games where awinger bamboozled me like Justin was. You feel he can go past you on either side and means you can't ever get your feet set. Awful feeling.
Anyway he's done well tonight and I've been impressed with him each game he's played really. He's nowhere near as powerful as either Rooney or Barkley were, but he has unique speed and agility with the ball.
I see him long term as the attacking player in a midfield three. Not so much as a 10, because he has the ability to break through the lines and draw players in. For now though, the left side will have less pressure.Somebody drilled the ball into him under pressure with two players around him and he just touched it on the turn and just opened options up for himself, he looks fantastic. He can make that left hand side his own next season.

...I like the comparison with McManaman. He’s not muscular like Rooney but he’s still a fine size and shape. An elusive and effective mover, he also strikes a football very well which we haven’t yet seen to great effect.
I think thats the big positive I see with him. In the reserves you wouldn't say his pace and dribbling was his only, or at times even his main attribute. The last set of games he was playing as a 9 and looked very happy running in behind and finishing chances. I always remember him breaking into the box late for the 18's and scoring what I'd consider "scruffy" goals and we know he has the ability to curl balls into the top corner and strike the ball well. These were in many ways the more distinctive features than his dribbling ability and I think he could score quite a few goals for us once he starts to take shots on.
My gut feeling is, he's a little shy and feeling his way in. Rooney burst onto the scene and was always Wayne Rooney, similar with Ross a bit but other young players it takes a bit of time. In the derby he really stuck to his task defensively and didn't deviate much from that. Against Norwich I saw one move, when we were 1-0 up, where he went past 2 or 3, and you were egging him on to turn and run at the defence, but we were 1-0 up with about 5 minutes to go, and he just checked out and played a simple pass. On the one hand it shows a good game awareness, and maturity, but on the flip of it probably a lack of confidence which will come to him as he plays more. I do wonder if that extends into the lack of shots at this stage.
Quite quickly the mangement I'm sure will tell him he's a difference maker, and where opportunities to go at defenders or get shots away present themselves that he should do that. I remember Ferguson with Ryan Giggs was never interested in him being an orthodox regulation footballer as he saw the unique skills he had, and encouraged him to be direct. I'd say that outlook would work well for Gordon.
