He was ok with two flashes of pure class. Did he do enough to take his chance? Probably not. Did he show that there is a player in there who has a good chance of making it? I think so.

Got an assist and made a great run which was unlucky not to end up as a goal. It’s clear he needs to improve on certain aspects of his game but it’s great to see his had the confidence and willingness to drive forward with the ball and look to make things happen. Also was good to see him trying to get back and help Digne out.

But he really wasn't helped by that midfield today, nor by the fact Digne was rusty as hell. We were terrible at getting the ball up to him, Iwobi and Tosun for most of the initial 90 mins and he obviously doesn't have the license to roam in the way James does to go looking for it.
On balance, he showed his talent today and he probably showed there's more work to be done. He is only 19 though and he's only got 14 senior appearances to his name.

This 'loan deal' stuff: it's for people who dont like a player with a bit of flair but cant bring themselves to say that, so say the Championship might be the making of said player.
He did more in one move today than nearly all his team mates put into that whole match. Digne was about as usefeul as a chocolate fireguard linking up down the left (and is clearly rusty) and offered no help to Gordon. That's a decent appraisal of today.
