I thought he was our best player last night against Boreham Wood.
His performances have made him a first team regular. He does need to work on his finishing though.

Forgive me but I can have honest opinion about something, if you don’t agree fine but don’t patronize me ones again , my expectations are probably higher then yours nothing wrong with that I hope so , here some of you salivating over the lad who doesn’t score and doesn’t assist or if does it’s no different to Iwoby considering how many matches he got played , pull the stats please and open your eyes, he productivity is utter crap for how many minutes he played , if this is how you describe amazing player fine , I don’t and I honestly don’t care if player came from our academy or outside , only want to see results

But let us look at the bigger picture. He is showing a lot of heart and desire, he wants to improve himself and he is 20.
This is the problem with football fans at times, if Gordon was playing for another team, and you saw some of his performances, I would say there is a high possibility that you would be thinking we should be looking at this lad, or at the very least thinking that he was a good prospect.
Take a step back from Everton for a second and think about, he is still learning and obviously showing an eager willingness to learn. Yes, we need results but let us just consider the future and Gordon has the potential to be a very good player for us.

I don’t say or think that he is not good but he is not that good as majority of the fans here think
as I said at the moment I would chose Gray any time over him , he scored, assist , using space , he is more skilled and productive player , we have more options now and in my opinion he is not ahead of Gray but he is ahead of Iwoby or Townsend but even him with his crossings he is more productive and dangerous
Gordon has s lot to learn , yesterday first half he was miserable, poor body language, minimum efforts

Stats are absolutely worthless but he has 3 goals in 10 games. Not massive but not awful either especially for a player who is still a kid.

Did I call you out, my post was in general as a lot of people pointing at him that he is amazing, amazing player for me is the player who makes difference , I have nothing agains that lad or any other player just sharing my opinion, lad is a great potential and it’s great to see that he is getting minutes but I would take Gray in first 11 without questions as he is more productive, he can score, assist, I guess it’s comes with experience all what I see from Gordon is that he can pass but without any idea what next , most of the time he try to finish instead of pass the ball to the better position player , happened a lot , In Carabao Cup, in PL , yesterday , you can like or not but that’s the facts , look back into our highlights or I have better advise don’t bother with my utter … , use some manners perhaps

he played in total in 2021-22 plus Cups , 23 matches , he score 3 times and he has 2 assist
yep he is a young player but with last two addition my opinion is that we have better options
if our key player , attacking midfielder only score 3 and has 2 assist explains a lot why we are where we are , so creativity is poor
