The biggest failure of Everton is that we have players with far more experience than this lad, far more credibility, on far more money - who look like this lad of 19 should be skippering them......

that's actually not an exaggeration - as mentioned above, a player who a year ago was gassed after 40 minutes was doing twice the output of players in their physical peak.

Anthony Gordon is the only highlight this season - yet I await some hipsters to tell me that he is a headless chicken......

A season ago people compared him to Deulofeu because he was gassed well before 90mins was up.

Now he's charging around all game and actually running past his team mates to press players theyve been too lazy to close down.

Its a massive improvement and one that shows good character and a desire to improve.

If he can improve in other areas too then we'll have some player on our hands.

The only other time this season ive seen similar was when Branthwaite partnered Keane a while back and looked to be the senior of the two in terms of both experience and ability.

Lampard is just the man for both of them.

Yeah I remember, his mate , a personal trainer , helped him to gain strength and weight during the first lockdown. Often when young players first start playing at PL level they dash about here and there , usually ineffectively and half way through their stint the adrenaline rush fades and they are unable to keep the same level up. He’s older , more experienced now than two years ago and has addressed those early deficiencies. The next step he can work on is his shooting with both feet , better corners , better free kicks. We know he can do all those things well occasionally, if he can add a level of consistency in that area his goals/ assists stats will rocket.

Yep he is! Never heard about tactics. All over the field and never at the right place. Give him a ball so that he can play with himself.

Hes trying to drive the team forward every minute of the game.

Meanwhile the less said about the 'captain' the better.
