Our best player yet again. Slate him all you want but he was more effective than Gray, Richarlison, Townsend and Alli today.

By far our best player which is embarrassing considering his limited experience. I honestly thought the team played with the fear of losing instead of going out to win which is understandable. I thought Holgate and Godfrey played
Ok but are limited with the out ball. Felt sorry for Kenny, I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again Coleman is finished at this level. Doucoure had his worst game in a blue shirt. Gray started ok but clearly isn’t fully fit. The first goal was crucial and we started the 2nd half very sluggish.

He put nothing on a plate let’s be clear. He put one very good cross in and a pretty good one. As I said I’m not criticising because that’s more than most did but ultimately it’s not going to be enough to keep us up if that’s the best he produces.

But it's no surprise that when our main creative outlets aren't actually 'creative' at all when it comes to good chances, that we struggle to create a lot.

The only truly creative players we had at the club were James and Sigurdsson. We never replaced either.

He never hid for one minute which you can’t say about anyone else and beat the full back on both wings and the only creativity in the whole game come through him and a couple of cameos from Deli Ali.

Well one got slated by nearly everyone for being useless and the other one was actively pushed out of the door 3 weeks after our transfer window had shut

Well it depends on what’s awful, the team was awful but he actually was on the pitch for the last 15 with only 10 men when we were chasing a goal so there are parameters.

and digne. The three of them created a lot of our chances, all three gone. People celebrated James going, delighted in Siggi’s suspension and thought selling digne was the right decision. They shouldn’t have been sold if we couldn’t or weren’t going to replace them.

We didn’t create lots of chances last season as it was but stripping the team of these three has led to a real lack of creativity. Said it when we sold them, so frustrating watching the inevitable happen.

Got to give it to this lad the fight he shows and work rate is brilliant and improving with every game still a lot to do not the best player but id have 11 gordons in my squad over some of these wasters this club is at an all time low in every department

Think this lad would thrive with a real good bit of coaching now and dare I say it, he looks comfortable enough on the ball that with a manager like Guardiola he would make a real player out of him.

Great that Lampard and his staff have given him a run, maybe you are right too, playing off / behind the main striker might be the ideal position for him.

Not sure he wouldn’t take himself into blind alleys through the middle.
On the wings there’s fewer opposition players and he can use his pace to good effect.
Might win a few free kick in dangerous areas through the middle though I guess. Read he’s out most fouled player this season.

I think there's an argument for playing a front 6 of something like this....

The biggest issue is goals. Gordon needs to score goals in a front 3 and he has scored in 2 games all season. It's not enough.

+ He wasn't even awful, people just seem desperate to point the finger at him.

I didn't see him do anything that would I would have classed as "awful"

Coleman, Kenny and Doucoure, they were "awful"
