The biggest issue is goals. Gordon needs to score goals in a front 3 and he has scored in 2 games all season. It's not enough.

I think our full back situation nuls the attack efforts badly, Gordon has to run that much he just ends up knackered. Coleman will not get forward as he cannot get back and if he does he can't cross the ball anyway, support from full backs is so vital for a player like Gordon
 
This lad is our only player that top 6 clubs would be interested in. He has it all and will only improve. That drop of the shoulder and dummy midway inside the park end half yesterday was world class, he left their midfield for dead. Not many players can do that, it was Ronaldo-esque.

A midfield that was ripping our midfield to bits too. Gordons faster than he looks , he gets away from players like nobody else can at the club.

Not the finished article but look how far ahead of Tom or DCL he is at the same age.

Our most valuable asset on the playing staff very soon.

On the wings there’s fewer opposition players and he can use his pace to good effect.
Might win a few free kick in dangerous areas through the middle though I guess. Read he’s out most fouled player this season.

Players don't like Gordon running at them. Yes his crossing is a good asset but we don't make the most of it anyway so what's the point?

I think in an ideal world Lampard would go with a narrow front three like Gerrard does at Villa but Everton don't have the full-backs for it.

His cross for Richy’s header off the post was such a lovely ball in. Wand.
 
I wish we would do something brave and just make him captain. Plenty of top teams have had young captains, and if he's a good communicator, mature, a blue, hard working, what else do you want? It sometimes matters that your captain has some weight and authority to fight with referees, but I think Lampard, Ashley Cole and Paul Clement are heavyweights to do that and help him out in this.

he’d get a game for a top 12 side and Everton are miles off that in the table so I’m not sure what your point is there? Rondon, DCL and Richarlison is what this lad has had to aim at and he’s put assists on a plate for all of them to miss. The movement has also been non existent for over half the season as well, he’s either got to take everyone on himself (which is what Richarlison and Gray have been doing as well) or get to the by line and cross it to nobody. Benitez had him playing as a bloody second full back until January, stifling him getting forward if the opposite side to him had already gone past the half way line.

Id play Godfrey LB and Paterson RB, but can’t see it happening.

always keep the 3 CB’s back and push patterson on. And play Richarlison wide left. And get Gordon more inside close to DCL and I’d play Dele behind DCL to . With Allan & Doucoure behind him
