2021/22 Anthony Gordon

Him and Gray can be effective on the counter with space to run into - that’s likely going to be useful at Arsenal but not so much in the next 2.

Dele is more the type of player we will need, but he seems to have fallen even further out of favour.
Im not sure what the issue is, it seems weird tbh. I know at Spurs there was a lot about him getting too entrenched in the whole London lifestyle thing and wanting to be a bit of a celeb and football and become a bit 2nd nature to him.

There's an argument that he should maybe get a rest on Sunday. It's a tough call though. We want to get the job done before Palace, and you want your best side, but he does look like his tank might be nearly empty.
Should have been rested against Watford, along with a couple of others. Frank clearly doesn't trust the bench but we've got to use a couple of them. We will have to be better against Brentford, a lot better if we want the three points. Watford was a massive opportunity and we sadly fell short. Really hope we drop the 5 at the back as we need the extra man in midfield.

We were one of the best sides at set plays last year, and are one of the worst this season. Although we have got slightly better in recent weeks.

We had Sigurddsson and Rodriguez last season and there deliveries were consistently pretty decent. This year it's a lot more hit and miss, and I don't think Gordon is good enough at them to be our number 1 option.
And Digne!

Been a good season for him but we need more options next season to take him in and out of the team. He must improve on his final ball

Its funny as Clement highlighted him as having good set peice delivery. He seems to float them in a bit. Are his deliveries that bad. I know theres the corner at the end that went out, but honestly my view is someone has to be attacking the back post.
There's been great examples of him being able to cross a ball in, but equally if you look recently there's been many poor examples of his crossing.

As @BlueToff rightly mentioned, he's blowing out of his arse, which for me will play a part. We shouldn't be relying on a player of his age, but that's the situation.

I think he needs a good break over the summer and hopefully in a more capable squad, which isn't in this position, he can work on the weaker areas of his game.

I think what's most telling is all the non-blues I speak to speak highly based on what they've seen. We mustn't put too much pressure on him and let him develop.

Davide Ancelotti spent a lot of time working with the team on set pieces when he was here and we had a good record during that time. Goals from set pieces account for nearly 40% of all the goals scored in the PL. Its yet another backroom area that we still seem to seriously lack in compared to our peers, along with the medical team and the fitness/conditioning setup and the obvious vacancies in the academy and scouting areas. Still an awful lot of work to do in certain areas imo.

He's only turned 21 and yet he's been charged with a huge responsibility already. It wouldn't be strange if he was handed the captaincy before long.

At times he was the only one showing any fight this season and his goal against United sparked off our revival.

He's knackered but he's got to start the next two games at least.

I think Clement is taking it seriously, which is good. Barry from Chelsea specialises too, so would like to see him come on board.

We are a very old fashioned club in the way we’re run, we have barely caught up to the 00’s let alone the 20’s.

Oh I know, its frightening how behind we are compared to some of the other clubs. Moan about Moshiri all you want (I agree with a lot of it) but the years of stagnation under Kenwright have really hurt the infrastructure of the club in so many ways.

i think if we can get someone creative in the midfield it will benefit him exponentially. we seem so reliant on him to bring the ball up and i think that wears on him
