Leeds
We dont get a draw home v Leicester without his mom performance mate.
We fell apart v Burnley after he came off after he'd been brilliant all game
Derby with even semi decent officiating he gets us a result in that too.
I aint giving you Burnley, the rest you can have.

See, people get the wrong impression, I dont hate him or think hes rubbish, only near the end when he was dead on his feet did I say he should be given a rest. Ive wanted him to play for most the season and I want him to kick on.

I want him to destroy it next season.

No I hear you loud and clear mate. We all want him to do well but there is a section of the fanbase that are acting like he is the second coming of Ronaldo at the moment, it's utter nonsense. We are talking about a kid who sometimes still struggles to play through the 90 mins of a game. People need to back off him big time and just let him do his thing, if he improves then good for us, if he doesn't then he will just fall into the Davies category and so be it.

Not really, though. A lot of people will reflect on the time we could of got £35m for him from Newcastle if he falls into the Davies category. For example, can you remember when West Ham were offering us Antonio for Davies in a swap deal? I'm not sure how much truth stemmed in that rumour but we'd be laughing our way to the bank if West Ham offered that to us now. For the record, I don't want Gordon to leave I'm just saying there would be a certain taste of regret amongst our supporters if he ends up like Davies. Let's hope for all our sakes Gordon really pushes on.

He was excellent in the derby. Should've got a penalty as everyone knows and Trent Alex Arnold knew he was in the game that's for sure given he got skinned a few times.

What I like about Gordon is he's raw but one of those who can quickly get you up the pitch if you sling a ball over the top. Actually a tactic that worked well at Goodison in the run in.

Massive issue if you lose him and Richarlison in same summer and replace them with forwards who aren't that quick. Gray did very little after xmas so him or Townsend aren't the answer as week in week out starters.

Unsellable for me this summer but guess if Newcastle seriously want him that's a very tough decision for him as they'll be pushing for 7th with way they ended last season.

Yeah, but you can't have that argument with some of the morons on here. They simply call you RS for having a different opinion. The kid has talent but he needs time to grow up and learn the game. He needs to become a real professional and be given the time to make mistakes. He was OK last season. Some would say he was better than that given the responsibility he shouldered. Generally, he handled it well but he's still very young and when a downturn in form comes, as it does with all younger players, he needs to be given time to work through it. Handle this the wrong way and you can destroy a youngster for good.

However, if Newcastle really want to offer 35M for him, that's a hard one to turn down.

Whilst I agree with the point about end product the fact that there has been this degree of interest from Newcastle and Spurs tells you something. Guardiola was also complementary. I suspect he will be the asset sacrificed next summer

We have got a gem here. He just needs a little nurturing. Get off his case and leave it to those that know

The pressure is evidence of his success. Ultimately we turned to a kid for leadership and to be a key player in a relegation battle, in his first year, the lad stood up and hit the bar, incredible stuff. Way to much expectation on the lid. But that’s how good he’s been and how important he’s become.

I’d we were any use as a club we could bring him into a team Better able to support him, with better quality and less pressure and expectation.

He’s been incredible really, year on year he gets better, crazy even to consider selling him.

It's painful to me that we praise players for the LEAST they should give.

But that's modern football.

When so many don’t give that, then yeah unfortunately it stands out when someone does. I mean Andre Gomes slumps around without breaking a sweat and people blame a broken ankle he had 3 years ago so he gets away with it.
