You jumped in too soon on Gordon. The smart thing to do was wait.

As an example: I've seen Patterson play and that's why I make my projections he'll be a defensive catastrophe here. I think you should have held fire on Gordon until you'd seen more of him.

I hope you found this informative and that it helps.
Patronising other people seems bold given your staunch support of the worst manager we’ve had since the 90’s

Jumping in to say you always believed in him and all the doubters need to eat their words is every bit as bad as people writing him off. He’s a young lad with talent who is in the early days of his career and has good days and bad ones why not just comment on what you see and not feel the need to say that he will be great or terrible in a couple of years time.

I thought he was cursed with trying too hard against Brighton and his dead ball delivery was poor. The biggest difference between this kid and some of the shirkers when they’re not on it is that Gordon will try his heart out and take up the mantle of being a creator and because of that he got his goals. He has shamed a few of the so called talent who don’t try a leg or hide when they are needed and I’m over the moon with him so far. Well in Anthony, keep working hard.

If the endeavour is there, they'll get backed and that's how it's always been.

Players who go missing won't ever be tolerated by Evertonians. Players who show that endeavour and desire will always be appreciated, even when it doesn't come off.
