We need to decide quickly on Chelsea's bid and see if Broja comes the other way or not. We can not wait forever on a new striker and if we have more money to spend or not
We can’t afford another work in progress footballer like Broja. Especially if on loan. He is no Rom. People turn there nose up at Maupay or Che Adams but they can do a job for us now and would make decent longer term squad players. Far better having one of these two then a Rondon type as a squad option in the future

True but beggers can't be choosers I suppose. Getting one from abroad is a risk but Broja might have a higher ceiling than Maupay or Adams. I don't want Che Adams as we need a tall centre forward. Maupay maybe

But that’s my point, we’re struggling to win games and impact games because both him and Gray are not good enough in the final third.

and that’s what we have them there to do

That's a fair point.

But not one that contradicts the original point I made, which was merely to state he is very good out of possession (defending). That doesnt make him good at attacking.

I agree with what you are saying too.

Great to see him get so involved today, and want so much of the ball when he was always going to be in the limelight after the past week of rumours.

He was really wasteful today though and needs to be better than what he showed at times. You can tell he’s a special player - I think he’ll suddenly start dominating games with goals and assists, but we’ll need to give him time.

This is the classic Everton Da syndrome though isn't, there always has to be one of our players to pick on, and now its young Anthony. It is funny that there is a narrative coming from some that Henderson was average, making non premier league quality saves, anything to put the knife into our young star. If you look at reviews from pundits, not GOT Da's and bedwetters you'll see a general opinion that Henderson had a great game and made great saves, which if he had not Gordon would have scored. That won't be accepted by some on here as operation annihalate Gordon is in full swing. When have McNeil to replace Richy, you will possibly have Januzi to replace Gordon, but I guess that is what some supposed blues want. Not me, I see the issues as being Gomes, Gbamin, Rondon, Keane and co, not our better players - but I guess I am an oddball for wanting to keep our better players and focus upon shifting the deadwood.

Dean Henderson: Will prove to be a really important signing if he keeps up the form of his first three games. Made some superb saves. A shame it didn’t end in a clean-sheet. Rating: 8/10

Nottingham 1-1: Forest up at Goodison with Henderson stunning

Dean Henderson had a great day and had decisive interventions in the game.

BBC have him just pipped to being MOTM.
It doesn't matter what reporters say as there opinion is just as valuable as ours. The point you are missing is that I didn't mention Gordon. I just mentioned that the shots were not great therefore the saves were not great.

Looks like you have gone into Drama Queen mode and made something out of nothing. Read carefully and get into the drift rather than getting waylaid into a narrative. You really need to think for yourself and believe what you hear from reporters who have watched half a match. I still stand by average saves that should have been saved by any top 3 division keepers. Nothing special at all

Only caught the second half, but I thought he was very dangerous today, he was a decent strike of the ball at youth level wasn’t he? I suspect that part of his game is still getting up to premier league level.

Can still beat a man, create space and get a shot off, just higher quality defenders are doing enough to not let him put his full quality through the ball yet. It’ll come, just whether it’s for us or not.

Mate, I am happy that you have accepted your inability to consider opposite thoughts and must say that I agree that your clear bias renders your fractional thoughts mute. ?

You have clearly jumped into the "negative Gordon" stream with the other rubber blanket gang. This is just a thought but maybe stop typing and start thinking about the situation.
