End products getting slated left right and center, good finish the other day (yeah offside so doesn't count) still reacted first to the ball being loose, again yesterday a great anticipation right at the end to get into the loose header back, spilled shot the other game would have led to a tap in had we had any form of striker who can move faster then a snail. And another good save yesterday from Henderson.

He's getting into position to get the shots off and the positions he's getting into are improving, he's reacting quick and anticipating stuff more and more.

For me the signs are it's gonna start clicking sooner rather than later once we settle at a team (if he stays)

I’m in this exact camp also. I can absolutely see why £50m is tempting, but how do we spend it with 10 days left? Other clubs know we’re desperate for a striker and will be asking crazy money for somebody bang average. That’s if they even want to sell at this late hour.
A well ran club already has potential deals lined up and agreed on the premise that a player is on his way out. They don't only start looking at players and talking to clubs and agents about deals after the sale has been made.

It's probably why so many transfer deals seem to drag on when from the outside it all looks fairly straightforward. It's like a chain when buying a house.

The other thing is hes been playing as the focal point of the attack mate, if your skill set is coming in and taking the center back and now you have to deal with beating the full back and center half you are doubling the adversity - playing without a striker really puts he and McNeill under significant pressure from defenders.

Watching him yesterday though he needs to trust himself more and take shots on the first time, he often takes a touch to kill the ball unnecessarily, when he could take it on first time, that touch allows the opposition to anticipate and position ready for the shot - particularly the keeper.

Yup I agree the touch should only be to shift it into a better position, he seems to do it to steady himself but just allows the keeper to read it better and the defender to get the block in.

Still think him playing more if a free role off DCL (or another cf) with a three man mid may see the best if him - especially if it's a dm holding with two box to box ahead.

Team needs more movement across the mid/forwards

It really is something he can improve on, because he has it, id be sitting down with him in the video room and making him aware of it. The other thing is, he doesnt have to beat four lads to drift inside, at times he looks goosed when it comes to getting his sot off - all these things are key to making him more productive for goals and assists, hes trying to do to much at the moment because his heart is in it - to be fair the context in the forward dept isnt helping him.

Are you thinking playing him at 10 mate as opposed to the left, kind of like how we played Beardsley?

He could have had a few yesterday and in another day would have
Fans piling a lot of pressure on this kid and only acknowledging what he gets wrong not what he gets right
Very Everton that

Yeah mate pretty much the same type of role. Patterson and Myko/Vin providing the width - couple of Cms who can get forward and let Gordon drift around finding space
