We will produce many class players at Everton and maybe even sign a few prospects, we have done this historically as long as i can remember. Its the way most clubs are run bringing on and in talent that can be utilised both on field and eventually off field but we have been piss poor last few decades at doing this, we will get it right at some point, its just if we can survive in the interim that is of concern. The thing that we need to accept is that is we lose Gordon it will be a long time before we get another world class player/prospect at the club. Frank had wanted to build the team around him but that looks like it might not happen now. If he goes I'll wish him well and cheer on McNeil and Gray in the hope that they can make the step up to a higher level. If we can get to Bramley Moor with a healthy balance sheet that might be the point that we can really kick on.
He is on that pathway, mate.

Which forwards did you have in mind?£60m? yeah, see ya Ant...
With that money we could buy two forwards with a better output at this level.
It’s absolute rubbish that’s what it is. That is not the job of a DOF at all, what the hell is the point in having one if they just buy all the players the manager wants anyway? You are scrambling around desperately once again to justify a failed regime, trying to pin it all on the manager, which is frankly an absolute disgrace. You do not want the same things as us.
I may be corrected here and thats fine but the 2018-19 figures can effectively be excluded now as its a rolling 3 years if i recall correctly?Which means what for the complete gammon ed like me.
…you need to understand the DoF at Everton isn’t the same as a DoF elsewhere.
Nowhere else does the Manager, owner, chairman & DoF bring in their own targets, probably in that order over the Moshiri years.
A DOF's role isn't just signing players.
You are making yourself look daft fuming over everything including things you know little about.
You've been on Thelwell's back from day one because he was appointed by Moshiri - the same bloke who's still single handedly building us that boss stadium down the docks with no bank loans and backing your super manager as best he can in the market.
Its getting a bit embarassing to read especially when you are blaming the DOF for not targetting random positions that the manager hasn't asked for !

Sarr is an example of a player in the £25-30m bracket who we should be looking at. Get someone like him & a more central forward player/striker for c.£55m and we've done well there. I certainly think it's possible.Which forwards did you have in mind?
The entire point of a DOF is so we don’t end up filling a squad with 8 different managers’ players you absolute swede.
