It’s the lack of confidence in getting in any replacement in, never mind an actual goal scorer that some problems have issue with.
The fear that grips so many.

I think it is too late in the window now. I'd be inclined to say no and sell at a later window or possibly see, if as GOT mentioned, if the last day gets a bit silly.

Hopefully the Gana deal will be done in the next couple of days, as will the cover up top.

Gordon is a very good player, with a very good attitude but it's ridiculous to say he is world class.

World class means you could get in any side anywhere in the world. He's not even close to that. We've had potentially 2 world class players in my lifetime - Rooney without a doubt, and possibly Lukaku, but that one is more up for debate.

World class means different things to different people . I class it as someone being in the the 5 players of their position in the world.

Gordon is not and will never be world class in my opinion

I may be corrected here and thats fine but the 2018-19 figures can effectively be excluded now as its a rolling 3 years if i recall correctly?
So we move into 22-23 financial year with a lower loss ratio to income and therefore any pure profit sales like Gordon would be will help our Profit and Sustainability going forward and we can then balance any transfer fees paid over the length of the deal? so we dont just splurge £60 mill say and it hits this years accounts it is spread over the period?
All in all we can spend more( with limuts obviously, not like we did before but that is a good thing as we are crapo at spending big money) and didnt the rules get an overhaul from this season too?
Thank you, Kind Sir... Or Madam... Or however you like to be referred to.

He is having a total mare recently, some really bizzare agends stuff going on

Yeah he's lost his head completely in recent months.

If he took his medication and stopped listening to the voices in his head that tell him to post none stop guff about the owner and FB92 he could actually bring some value to a discussion instead of the playground nonsense of "I am right you are wrong" when in fact he's not even right!! ?‍♂️

Yes, because the DOF did not prioritise the correct positions. But the manager was talking about needing a forward for weeks. His job is being made nigh on impossible by the panic and disorganisation around the recruitment side of the club.

From the outside looking in, we are in disarray behind the scenes. We haven't even heard from the DOF all summer.

And you know this how may I ask ?

Another sad day for club, player and of course the fans
£60m for a young player who had a decent break through season isn’t a sad day I’m buzzing at the prospect of £60m for Gordon and it’s not even my money. If we was in a better position in the league and financially I’d liked to of kept him to see if he improved but at this moment in time 60m is crazy money for him 45m was.

And you know this how may I ask ?

If a DOF isn't involved in overseeing recruitment then what is their job?

Your reaction to this is like being shocked the boss in an office is involved in interviewing potential new starts. It's literally a key part of their job.

Why are you adamant the DOF isn't organising recruitment. Are you on a wind up?

I dont work for the club mate therefore I don't know whats happening behind the scenes.

Hence why I dont FUME hard over things I don't have knowledge of.

Others will read the tabloid gossip pages, tweets from other fans who's uncles dog works in FF's canteen and create conspiracies online and wet the bed.

RE Richarlison - we clearly need a replacement but goal scoring wide players who can also play as a striker are hard to come by and are expensive to buy. We were looking at Cornet but couldn't get a deal done due to our financial situation - I imagine once Gordon is gone we'll bring one in.
make your mind up

Of course he is - but oveeseeing recruitment doesn't mean he decides what positions need sorting out in the squad thats the managers job man !

Overwise whats to stop Thelwell signing Joel Robles because he has a thing for tall handsome blokes when the manager already has 3 goalies he likes ?
