Well this is just nonsense isn't it. There's no way you can say his value will drop to a similar price of a league 1 player come season end.

How do you know? Happens all the time. Look at Sarr for Watford for Instance. Wanted £40/50m the other year, then has a tough year and be lucky to get £20m now. McNeil was valued about £30/40m two years ago and we got him for £15/20m. Auour lad at Lyon? Going for about €15m when Lyon wanted £40/50m a couple years ago.

It only takes a bad injury or a complete drop in form for values to plummett.

His value may double this year but it also may halve.
