The money will still be there in January or next summer. A decent season and he’ll be worth more. It would be crazy to sell now.
Mate he is potential, nothing more. He's had one season. If he was on his 3rd or 4th season then you get a proper idea but he is not fully developed. He has excellent potential of course but there is nothing to say he will fulfill it and are we in a position to be turning down ,£40+m? Dont think so.
It will allow us to add more quality.

Yep, and absolutely no room for sentiment either. You don't reject £40m for a player as severely limited as Anthony kin Gordon.
Be looking at buying him as apparently wants a permanant move. But i'd be demanding Gallagher on loan too.
Take the money now as he will be worth less than 10 mill in the championship next season.
