If him staying leads to us not being able to bring in more effective players AND we go down, he's going to become a hated figure. Hope he knows what hes doing here. If Frank and co has told him other attackers are coming in either way, Id support him staying. If not, he is walking a fine line.
Think this deal will happen. He’s made it pretty clear he wants the move by all accounts.

It makes zero sense to announce we’ve agreed a fee for Gordon until all other targets are ready to join with everything from fee, medical, personal terms all agreed.

Otherwise we are going to get rinsed on prices with clubs knowing we have 50-60 million in our pocket.

For once I think we are playing this out right.

The sad thing for Everton is that Gordon is what is termed in football circles as 'stalled talent', a talent who could most likely prosper and be an extremely good player if in the correct environment and with the right people around them but not in his current situation. Other clubs can see this, and that is why they are willing to pay good money for him, a good manager, coaches, and team around him and he will most likely prosper. Of course a young talented player would want a move to a club who would know how to develop them, people certainly can't blame the lad for desperately wanting an exit.

Yes, just like Jack Rodwell and Ross Barkley.

Don't worry about us mate and Gordon, you just get back to your Tranmere match.

Yeah not everyone is a willing to sacrifice their career and winning things by playing for their home team, need more Shearers really who are happy to effectively waste their peak years :)

Wouldnt a stalled talent not be one that had shown quite sharp improvement? I'd suggest that rather important detail somewhat disprove your narrative.

I know where your coming from, thank god yee came in and rescued Chris Wood from Burnley, thought he’d never fulfil his talent and go full Longstaff.

Still baffles me why other clubs fans come on here.

Arsed going on other teams forums reading their rubbish. We all read enough on here.

Welcome.
