2022/23 Anthony Gordon

Could be partly convincing that player to come, whether it be Broja, Gallagher, Gilmour etc. Could even be someone surprising like Pulisic or Chalobah.

I'm not convinced the £60m bid is coming, though.
Yeah, I get the feeling Boehly fancies doing US style multi player trades, even if they don't really happen here. Like you say, I'm really not sure the cash offer comes, or if it does it's contingent on us giving it straight back on a player or two from them. In which case it's all about who the players are.

I'd be happy with that outcome.

I think people have lost their minds trying to sell Gordon to fund a couple of players coming in.

I'd be relatively content now with Maupay and a sitting m/f and holding onto Gordon.
I think we will sign Gana, the squad will be well balance with DCL back. Pace on the flanks with Gordon and gray(as long as McNeil is not playing) tenacity in midfield with gana and onana. Stability at the back. Lampard should be please with the window under difficult conditions.

Keep the rest of the funds for emergency signing in jan.

But he's still just a paid employee. If he does something it's because he's told to. Not his decision to make.

That’s incredibly naive! He’s still the chairman, and evidently been involved in all the in’s & outs this summer.

Of course it could & probably would be his decision to make.

Moshiri has been no where to be seen for quite some time.

Bill is still heavily involved

Lampard clearly wants to keep Gordon and the £60m bid was pure nonsense.
Thankfully he’s going nowhere.
Yeah it sounds like either the 60 was nonsense or was so heavily structured that it did us very little immediate good. So they're right to set a cut off and see if Chelsea come back with a serious offer. At this point in the window if it's not 50m plus up front money or a deal involving Broja or Gallagher as a permanent then it's not worth doing.

Not over yet but definitely looking less likely. Quote was taken out, full blurb about Gordon in the Guardian article:

Meanwhile, Lampard insists he is under no pressure to sell Anthony Gordon to fund incomings. The manager has set his own “red line” date for Chelsea to complete a deal for the England Under-21s international and rejected claims that an offer worth up to £60m had been made. Unless Everton’s valuation is met in the coming days, and before Thursday’s official deadline, Gordon will stay.

“It is absolutely not happening at this point and that is where we are at,” said Lampard. “I have got respect for Chelsea because I did play for them but my biggest job now is to have an understanding of what I need to do here and the situation we are in is that Anthony is not leaving this club.”
He added: “We have drawn a red line. I won’t say where it is but I am getting very close to it. It is my job to put the best squad together so there absolutely has to come a time where we understand what the squad is going to be. Especially with a player of the level of Anthony, I have to know he is going be here and the good thing is myself and everybody involved upstairs has the same kind of thinking.”
