If you believe that weird NFL type trade deal then you'll believe anything
I do think, and this is based off absolutely nothing other than gut feeling, we could see Broja in some way involved in a deal, but that would very much depend on Chelsea getting a striker in.

I just don't think we should be selling at this point. The deal had to happen quickly or not at all. Lampard said we never got a 60m offer so there maybe hasn't even been much of a decision for the club to make

Something that Lampard mentioned in his post match interview that I think has been glossed over is that Gordon produced one of his best games for us amidst all of this news flying around. I know it’s his job but more experienced and accomplished players have mailed it in similar situations.

Obviously his celebration was a nod to that. Really impressive from him and people might be on to something who have said that this whole thing might actually boost his confidence and make him a better player. Yesterday was a good sign in that regard.

Aye, but - and again I'm not saying I know for sure - last week when I was saying that to Iguana (who for some reason I can no longer tag) that the reports were only really that Chelsea were *willing* to go to £60m (other than Fab Romano going out on a bit of a limb it seemed), it felt like Chelsea, or maybe even Everton, saying this is what it's going to take to get it done. I dunno, would depend where Ornstein etc got their info from.

It was only Romano, of the ultra reliable ones, who said that a bid of that amount had been made.

I said last week I thought he was a lot better than he had been v Forest, without being brilliant. Glad to see he carried that on yesterday. He struggled at the end of last season, mainly because he looked absolutely knackered.

Whose our best player if not Gordon...
Well Gray outscored him last season and is out scoring him this season, theirs nothing between them in terms of what they offer the team. Gordon has age on his side that’s it. You could sell Gordon for 60 mil and replace him with a 1.5mil Gray and there would be no difference to the team

Btw I think Gray is ok and that’s it, that’s my point.
