2022/23 Anthony Gordon

….I can imagine all week in training the Manager & coaches have been drumming into the players not to give daft free kicks away around the penalty area.

Gordon strikes me as a player who plays for Anthony Gordon. The team & team results are secondary, he wants to look good. if he goes to a top club with top winners I fear he’ll be found out for his lack of application.

Fortunately it wasn’t Patterson who gave that free kick away or @davek would be blaming him rather than his beloved Gordon.

He's handed enough points away this season.

Refusing to sell him to Boehly's Chelsea is a decision that deserves relegation.
Even if it was only half what was reported - that Thelwell and Lampard couldn't think of one or two replacements to improve on him is a major indictment on them both.
Especially now that Lampard says he always expected us to remain in a relegation fight.

‘Anthony is too important a player,’ said Lampard.

‘He has showed his worth in the last two games, it is too late. He is going to be special. In the bigger picture, he has an affiliation with the fans. It is a process, can we build around that?

‘The interest in him is because he is a top player and why we are so keen to keep him. You saw the reasons why (we think so highly of him) in the last two games. He is our player, he has come through he is a v good player and will get better and better.

‘Adding goals is the next step and the hardest step. He is a special player for me. I am delighted.’

I think i hate him more than anyone else in the team (and boy, do I hate Iwobi), because he is a lifelong blue, from a family of lifelong blues and puts no more effort or passion in than any of the other blerts.

He's not a real blue him.

He's let the club down massively. I wish we sold him to Chelsea. Whether it was 60m or 30m or 20m I wouldn't care less. He's a shocking footballer.

Impossible with that nose and hairdo.

Ah yes, blocking a road and chasing a 21 Yr old player = passion. We are an utter embarrassment on every level.
What’s even more embarrassing is how a player as crap as him can drive off in that kind of car a car that probably all them lads can only dream of into his house with no worry about electricity or gas or where the next wage is coming from, to come through an academy that has helped put him in his privileged position to perform the way he does ? should be chased out and not just him the lot of them.

Last season our former manager won the champions league.

He decided upon assessment, to send him on loan to the Championship, because he wasn’t good enough.

He knew. What makes it seem plausible thag we’d give him £100,000 a week.
He’s just not very good. Talent aside, even the worst player knows how to sprint, and track a man.
