Probably a good player in the right situation. But he hasn't performed at all this season, and we absolutely need money.

Even if he does turn into a top player, doesn't mean it's the wrong decision for us to sell right now.
Why do we need money? We will just be signing championship standard players like Maupay, Mcneill and DCL with it.
Our problem over the Moshiri 7 years is we have always sold our best player or top goalscorer,we have dismantled a jigsaw rather than added pieces to it.

This seems a narrative spun by one eyed fans to deflect criticism of their own failings.

Seem to remember him starting the season well so couldn’t have been that turned? Perhaps he just hit some bad form, same as his team mates, but Evertonians being entitled hysteria biffs get dead para and spin it into something else, thus damaging the player and hounding him out.

A theorem.
Hounded in what way? Some jive turkey chasing after his car? He wanted out in the summer when everything was rosey but the club stood their ground.

As far as a biff hysterical fanbase he's going to pinnacle of that in Newcastle so good luck to Statboi and his bleach blond middle part

The deals suits everyone,we get great cash for and average player,he gets a move he's been after since the summer so everyone is happy really...Let not pretend it's Blue forcing him out.

I reckon he'll go on and do well. A mixture of poor managers, poor squad depth, lack of leaders and fan inpatience makes it a difficult environment for young players to develop at Everton.

I'll add that the "he believed all the hype" shouts, maybe he did and maybe he didn't. Even so, it's probably part and parcel of a lot of young players. Just need a strong manager to plant their feet on the ground.

To reinvest in goalscorers to hopefully avoid relegation

We aren't exactly splashing the cash these days

Think another issue we've had mate is that these type of players have wanted to leave.

Not angry about his sale at all mate, think it may actually save us as his output certainly won’t.

In an ideal world we build around young talent and don’t have to play them week in/week out without respite. This isn’t where we are though sadly, we need absolute grafters to try and get us out of this and Gordon for me just isn’t meeting the same physical levels he set for himself just last season.
Aye agree mate, fair points.

Own it man. Maybe we’re the baddies?
