It may well be the case mate, but it's hard to argue he isnt a good judge of talent when you look at his record at Brighton and England.

7 goals in 79 games in the prem. all those goals came in 2 seasons in the championship. Neil Maupay scored 24 goals in 1 season when Brentford were in the championship. They paid 20 million for him in 2019. Then you have jordon Ibe they paid 16 mil for him. So I do think he would pay the money for Gordon.

Howe did an unbelievable job at Bournemouth. Attracting players there and attracting players to Newcastle are worlds apart. Not saying he won’t sign Gordon like.

Dan Ashworth is generally considered a very elite judge of talent like.

There’s been plenty of players with talent but not the application to unlock it. I couldn’t care less if Gordon goes elsewhere and then catches fire, what is clear is that this season he hasn’t applied himself at all for us and so his talent is largely irrelevant. He won’t perform for us now so I’d rather get rid and the buying club can take the gamble if he’ll perform for them long term.

We don't know what the number is, we don't know the structure of the deal, we don't even know if there's a deal on the table!

Yes, he’s 22 in a few weeks though so two years ago from then he would’ve been 20.
