Give Gordon’s agent his due, honestly. He’s managed to take a player with 4 goals and 2 assists in 36 games last season, and give him hype like he’s prime Kaka.

He can have all the ability in the world, but his work ethic was terrible. Like a B-Tec Barkley, who showed how great he could be, and left the way he did.

At least we fetched a few for Gordon, and the Newcastle fans took about 15 minutes to realise he was rubbish.

What i dont understand is shy some of our fans even care about him now, we have our own stuff to focus on, he was here for a short period of time, did nothing, left, made us a lot of money, on the scale of things he is a none story.
His name is part of that culture of looking for things to be bitter about that we need to get away from

There are plenty of hours in the day to focus on how crap we are and still know that kopites are gobshites and Gordon’s a rat.

I do agree his playing career with us was a non-story and we got unreal cash for his ability but his insistence we owe him something for ‘saving us’ and his opinion he’s better than us leaves a sour taste.

Richy was given blessing because even when it didnt go his way he still gave everything. Gordon never looked like he was arsed after his first few games in the first team and then the whole striking to get a move. He'd have got the move anyway by the sounds of it with us taking the money and not bringing anyone in. I dont think he has any right to claim he kept us up though, right nonsense that. 3 deflected goals and a tap in. One of the deflections was off him ffs.

A little part of me is hollow inside seeing Richarlison absolutely wasted at Spurs, but at the time we all said he'll go there and won't see enough minutes as he deserves to because they've got Kane, Son and Kulasevski who's a tidy footballer.

It's just football at the end of the day, if you give your all then the crowd will wish you the best whether you're on an upward path or downward path. The morons chasing his car and all sorts are the ones who put that little nasty snide into him for that interview, not the 38k others.


Also find it odd that he'd go on about it despite being at his new club. Can only imagine the Geordies will love it but still find it a bit weird. If you've got a personal grudge just keep it to yourself, it doesn't make anyone look good saying anything about it really.

Thanks for running around a lot and falling over whenever challenged while we struggled to stay in the premier league in the season 2021-22. Goals, assists and clean sheets ultimately kept us up but don't let anyone make you feel that your contribution wasn't important.
