Anthony Gordon

Might not be a popular opinion but hope Gordon does well. (Just not at Newcastle obviously) Don’t blame any player wanting out of this club these days. Think a couple of the lads that have stayed are a bit mental tbh.
Hmmm, go to Newcastle and get my long term contract close to the £100k a week I wanted as well as be part of a squad that will challenge for trophies and surely play regular European football under a quality manager, or stay at Everton, fighting relegation, maybe end up in the second division, maybe never see a trophy in my career, all to play for an angry fanbase at a club run by clowns with a different manager every year. I think I know which one I'd pick...

Yeah can’t fault him for leaving and can’t fault us for accepting the ludicrous amount of money they offered us for a very limited football player, win - win

Don't so much wish him well as just go, do what your going to do but don't disrespect the club on the way out of the door.
Don't want any player who doesn't want to be here, in reality we should have got rid at the end of last season as soon as he was wanting away.
He was ill advised doing that last interview, it was unfortunate and not right he was confronted by fans earlier in the season and it has quite obviously left him bitter towards us fans.
Had to laugh at him over egging his contribution to last season and remarkably failing to mention he'd been cack and contributed nothing this season.

Not sure how anyone can hate on a player who was at best very average, who made us a tonne of money.

Give Gordon’s agent his due, honestly. He’s managed to take a player with 4 goals and 2 assists in 36 games last season, and give him hype like he’s prime Kaka.

He can have all the ability in the world, but his work ethic was terrible. Like a B-Tec Barkley, who showed how great he could be, and left the way he did.

At least we fetched a few for Gordon, and the Newcastle fans took about 15 minutes to realise he was rubbish.

All I'll say is this;

It doesn't shock me at all if he's bitter

I'd be bitter, and if we're honest with ourselves we all would

Once people are surrounding your car in a threatening manner for the crime of losing a football match, then it's going to put a chip on your shoulder

He's young and maybe time will heal the wounds, but right now I fully expect him to bury us in every interview and I don't really blame him

The supporters crossed a line with those antics. That's stuff you don't want to see

Saying he "kept us up" is posturing from someone with an axe to grind. He certainly contributed last season and he was in Player of the Season discussion IMO, but he wasn't the sole reason we stayed up

Richarlison has more of a claim to making that argument, but he would never, because we were actually nice to him on the way out
