Antolin Alcaraz

I personally think that Alcaraz will return from this injury.

Dislocated shoulder is it? I'm sorry if I've missed something, I've been in work this weekend.

He'll be back from a shoulder injury surely? I know he's "injured again" but this one was the fault of an opposing player as far as I know.
I read it was something to do with the joint in his shoulder.

......it's the type of injury that can re-occur so I suspect he will have an op to make sure that isn't the case. He'll soon be able to do cardio training and even ball work, so when the shoulder is ok it shouldn't take him long to get back.

Antolin needs to be turned into glue, along with Sylvain he needs to be sent out to the knackers yard. Play Barry / Besic at the back and blood the youngsters Browning and Galloway, at least that way Martinez will know whether to revise his plans in January after stating this week that he wouldn't be looking to recruit a centre half. Also see that Toby Weirdo is doing well at Southampton, we seemed to be linked with him over the summer and in the past, maybe one that got away.

With Stones and Alcaraz injured, would anybody give Yobo a contract till the end of the season?

maybe the European game Thursday will be a decent time to give browning a shot, gutted for alcaraz, think he has done well since he came in for stones. The hit he took on Saturday was massive it was always gonna be messy. get fit soon lad.

Three seasons in a row he's had a serious injury. Not good for a player who turns 33 in the summer. I like him - his distribution is excellent and his lack of pace hasn't been a big problem in his games this season - but I wouldn't be surprised if his Everton career fizzes out. Shame, he's a better player than a lot gave him credit for, but he's never really had a chance to show it.

Poor fella has rotten luck with injuries, I don't think he warrants the abuse he gets to be honest. I remember him playing a blinder alongside Stones last year against Stoke. Stones actually looked more at ease playing beside Alcarez than he did Jags or Distin.

His positional awareness is fantastic but he just never got enough of a run to get his 'mental match fitness' up to Evertons standard. He is at the end of his top flight career now and these injuries have taken too much of a toll on his body.

More worringly though is our defensive fragility this season and it is the main priority for me for the next signing in the center back position. Coleman and Baines looks to be staying and are settled happily. The main teams that need to buy them are already sorted now except for Man Utd in the right back position.
