Yup, real struggle to decide who I'd rather have out of those two options

But pretty sure he surely wanted to be a regular first choice player, he should at his age, and the position Alcaraz has is 3rd/4th choice CB. Playing two young CBs together is unlikely so he would have been competing with Stones to get game time and although I rated Duffy higher than some on here he isn't the level of Stones.

Even if Duffy was any good, which it seems he isn't all that, he wanted first team football. Which he never would get here.

Alcaraz seems happy to be used as and when called on. Duffy wouldn't be happy with that.

No mate, I dream of the likes of Madonna in a Roman negligee or other such women, Men do not come into my dream. There again if you wish to out your self feel free. It is a free country and liberal.

Thing is though right that Italy play Pirlo because he can hit passes yeah. They dont expect their CBs to be spraying the ball around like Pirlo because thats why Pirlo plays.

So - why have we got Alcaraz and in some places Jagielka trying to knock the ball around with 50 yard passes that are one in ten chance balls?

It does not make any sense!

Was having a mare until he almost scored and that seemed to settle him, liked the fact he tried a few shots as their keeper looked nervous.

thought he was terrible to start with but settled down, knocked some good balls forward later on. He's got to be missing match fitness.

Had an absolutely appalling 5 minutes or so in the first half but he got his act together and had a decent game.

He's awful and any time we're put under pressure he's going to cost us so much.

He can get away with it when we're on top in the game, for the simple reason he doesn't have to do any defending.
