same. i'm still on the fence of whether we should offer him a new contract. as a 5th choice centre back like. distin's gone, we need to buy another centre back or two regardless. we can't be buying 2 or 3 centre backs in one window - that'll never work, we've already got enough areas to look at. he can step in if needed. you can't understate how hard it must be to play a game every now and then throughout your whole career and be bang on the money when called upon. Gibbo seems to cope alright, but he's been playing at the top, alcaraz hasn't.

I thought he was simply shyte, as bad as I've seen in years, honestly that bad for a player that experienced. Played better 2nd half because thank christ the ball didn't go near him. Shouldn't even be 10th choice centre back let alone be getting a game when Stones is out. Jags was immense doing the job of 2 tonight.
