it's 5 league games in and he wouldn't have played any of them if he was fit anyway. maybe he would have come on for 5 mins instead of stones, but he's only really missed the league cup games. jock is right, but then when we're paying heitinga 65k est. a week for about 5 years in which he's done nothing good bar one season, then it's probably best not to worry about these kind of things.

Calm down Ij my point was why be so flippant like you were with McCarthy, it's not his fault he's been injured. No he hasn't set the world alight so far- BECAUSE HE HASNT PLAYED.

Oh yeh and perks of bring an admin I can see your original post, so I think you need to calm down when I'm just discussing something with you.

Jagielka, Distin, Stones, Heitinga, Duffy, Alcaraz.....

Of these only Distin is left footed so for me logically we have Stones currently as cover for Jagielka...

This leaves Distins cover as Heitinga, Duffy, Alcaraz.


I think that Heitinga and duffy will be off soon and Martinez will be looking for a young left footed centre back to replace Distin.

How long is Alcaraz's contract ?
 
I am fully expecting Moyes to be in for jags before long so stones will step up then. We will need the new Distin quite soon but hopefully we will get one more good season from him. This one I mean, I dont't think he will manage two, much as I like him and admire how he has kept his pace so long.
 

why bring him in, in the first place we have Duffy,Stones, Johnny H. to play if Jags or Distin were out
Hibbo even played centre back in the europa cup a few seasons ago.
 
hes had a hernia op. hasn't played for a few. its not a huge deal and those saying dreadful signing need to have a word.

we'll need bodies come christmas and after in the run in due to tiredness. plus if people get injured



when leighton baines came he couldn't get past nuno valente. then got a hamstring tear against fulham. Dreadful signing too?
