Disagree with this, based on his performance for Eng last night. His distribution was superb and proved he can do it.

I agree it hasnt been evident in his performance for the blues this year, but he is capable of playing from the back.

Jags needs to improve his off the ball play, hes not the best at splitting or stepping up or back to make the angle to play it around at the back. Gets caught out and closed down to often

Yes, Roberto likes centre-halves with good distribution, but I still think he judges defensive ability to be the most important attribute; hence why Heitinga (arguably our most composed centre-half in possession) hasn't played in central defence this season.
