….so, are we now recognising Moshiri initiated this deal?

It's all very similar to the Iwobi deal isn't it.

Kia sorts out Villa with a meal deal for Coutinho, but Villa could still do with freeing up some cash. Kia says to Villa I can help with moving on someone, he gives Jorge a call tells him he can earn a few £ if he can convince El Ghazi on a loan move. Then he gives his bff Moshiri a call and tells him about this young wide midfielder who's looking to prove himself.

Villa free up cash
Jorge earns a few £
Kia earns a few £

Everyone wins, apart from Everton.

….and my concern here is not so much about the player coming in, it’s Moshiri continuing to meddle.

More significantly, Benitez hasn’t got total control some suggest and things haven’t changed significantly with Brands departure.

Just no, it's not monopoly

Athletic have confirmed that this is a Moshiri signing via that odious tit Kia Joorabchian. We actually have Benitez to thank that it’s a loan deal rather than a permanent one. Transfer wise, apart from Rondon, I actually can’t say Benitez has done anything wrong. Tactically and results wise he’s all over the chippy though. Let’s hope results improve because it appears he’s got the stones to stand up to Moshiri, which we badly need.

All the best Anwar, hope you do well but glad it’s try before you buy.
They think. I am not having it that none of the last 5 managers under Mosh have once stated that he interfered in trannies, not once despite them all being sacked/forced out etc. YIu would think ONE of them would make reference to it being the reason their teams were underperforming. In fact I don't think either Walsh or Marcel even mentioned it, despite the fact it would have been in direct conflict with their roles.
The only people who mention it are outside of the club....

On the basis of Twitter rumours? Absolutely not
As far as sources go they’re up there Eggs, they weren’t ambiguous about it either.
They know no more than I do. They listen to rumours like everybody else.
Any they think may be true, they repeat or add to/rehash to make them seem 'exclusive'
They never reveal THEIR sources . . . yet people qoute THEM as being a 'reliable source'

Clap clap

From what I've seen amongst the reaction from Villa fans it's that they seem to like the guy and feel he hasn't been given enough playing time. Apparently has a very good attitude as well.

I'll take that.

Managers no better than to spout off to the media about previous owners/chairmen they worked with, it's a big red flag. It's the equivalent of mouthing off about your current boss to a prospective boss in a job interview - sometimes it's best to just keep it quiet.

Visiting Villa fan here...

He's a hard worker.. but his effort rarely makes up for his lack of ability.

He's easily the best penalty taker in the premiership though... just a shame he can't just be brought on for Penalties and sit on the bench the rest of the time
