Why does everyone think mosh wants him?
I mean, did he want him before the Digne deal? Has he just heard of him and decided he wants him? Or , OR he doesn’t want him and has no thought on the matter and it’s a load of waffle?? Hhmmmm

Reported rumour is Moshiri is the one leading the negotiation with his agent friend, Kia Joorabchian (who is also Iwobi's agent i think).
Another reported rumour is Benitez didn't want El Ghazi and had turned down 3 times. And there another rumour that there is no bid, just a loan offer. Unsure what's the true story behind it but if the past is any indication with Iwobi, El Ghazi could be Moshiri pushing for the deal.

I think if there is a bid, then I feel the funds are better used elsewhere, like to strengthen our midfield and defense.

The El Ghazi thing has exactly the same fingerprints on it as the Iwobi deal! The same day we signed Iwobi...Arsenal signed David Luiz & Soares (Kia Joorabchian's clients). Those deals would cost Arsenal about £28 million in wages & 'agent fees'. Around the same fee as Iwobi!
Villa have just signed Kia's main client..Coutinho on a 6 month loan! Id guess the loan, wages & 'agent fees' would cost around say....£15million.
Magically all of a sudden we are possibly signing El Ghazi from Villa for same price, hence funding Villa's signing for Kia's client!
Moshiri is either in on it or a gullible [Poor language removed]

Mate, read that back , it’s basically crap rumours and people are drinking bleach

El Ghazi is primarily a right sided midfielder, presumably Townsend foot injury is a lot worse than expected now?
