Confirmed Signing Anwar El Ghazi

I did notice that report, but it didnt confirm the notion that moshiri was orchestrating the deal without Benitez's approval, which is what the el bobble account was claiming.
It's one of those things that wouldn't surprise anyone. And even if it isn't happening this time it still feels like something we haven't sorted.

They used to hate Barry, Gray and Townsend
They used to talk about signing like Arteta and Pienaar
They want player at right age with point to prove
They judge player by looking back not looking forward
Who are they?lol

Lot's of opinions here, but how many ITKs? El Gharzy might end up here in some kind of deal, but how could posters here know
that Moshiri was pushing it?

I’d stop well short of saying he’s been class, but he’s definitely made progress.

I was, by no means, saying I WANT Gordon to go out on loan, I was just hypothesising as to who will make way for El Ghazi. The signing barely makes sense in general, but even less so if we keep the five existing first team wide players (and provide another hurdle for Dobbin to have to overcome).

Could also mean that Dobbin might not sign the new contract and might move on in this window?

Thought I'd post this from what I said yesterday:

El Ghazi is a decent player. Loves cutting inside and shoots very much. From a Villa perspective, Gerrard usually has 2 #10s instead of traditional wingers, which Ghazi is more suited for. Think that's more why he is out of favor and likely for us to move on (I'd much rather keep him over Trézéguet for reasons that should be clear after our game vs Brentford). Definitely is a confidence guy -- last season's December I think he was nominated for PL PotM and scored in maybe 4 in a row. El Ghazi is the best penalty taker I've seen at Villa in a long while, hasn't missed one for us (think he's 7/7)

Last thing: he is 10x the player that Iwobi is
My grand-mother (dead since 1995) still is 20 x the player Iwobi is. Doesnt look good on anybodys CV!

The El Ghazi thing has exactly the same fingerprints on it as the Iwobi deal! The same day we signed Iwobi...Arsenal signed David Luiz & Soares (Kia Joorabchian's clients). Those deals would cost Arsenal about £28 million in wages & 'agent fees'. Around the same fee as Iwobi!
Villa have just signed Kia's main client..Coutinho on a 6 month loan! Id guess the loan, wages & 'agent fees' would cost around say....£15million.
Magically all of a sudden we are possibly signing El Ghazi from Villa for same price, hence funding Villa's signing for Kia's client!
