I posted a few days ago that we had to treat this window like a summer window in terms of how many numbers we need, and this signing kind of has that feeling about it. Obviously he's pony, but on loan he might just come here with something to prove looking for his next contract whether it would be here or elsewhere and really go at it for 5 months. I don't mind seeing us bulk out our options, those saying that we don't need any more wide players seem to have new found confidence in Everton players not getting injured. It is that kind of the season for us were players are taking it in turns keeping the treatment table warm so to have an extra option just in case feels sensible to me, especially on a loan with no options.

I don't think this will hurt Gordon's game time either, he seems to be getting picked every match now and I think he has totally earned Benitez's trust.
