What do you guys do for fun?

I used to play a lot of Pool and Snooker up and down the country for quite a while as a young lad, then one day out of the blue stopped, and haven't touched my cue in nearly 10 years.

I've played guitar also since I was a kid, and enjoyed playing the Blues, Rock & Roll, Rockabilly, Modern Country, Rock, Disco funk etc etc, and keep meaning to get into Jazz standards one day. I have a site on myspace if anyone wants to take a listen to a few tunes I recorded a long time ago.(best in phones)
Flat357 on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

3 back operations interfered greatly with both unfortunately, but I still pick the guitar up now and then.

PC games are fun too, and enjoyed playing in a few different clans along the way, in the days of FarCry and Cod4 etc. Made many friends from all over the world at the time, and thanks to team speak we could all chat during fun games, wars, and social banter alike.
I still keep in touch with them even if I don't play online so much now, and the pc I'm using now was actually a gift from a friend I originally met through online gaming.

What about you guys?
Anything interesting?

Nope, just a PC gamer nerd as well really. Sof2, Cod4, Pes, Aoe2, got a tight bunch of fellow nerds, been "mates" for over 7 years with a few of them.

What clans you in BB?

Great guitaring I must say!

I play myself but lean more towards the hard rock metal shred style ala Yngwie Malmsteen and Rusty Cooley :)

Hobbies myself are mainly guitars and computer games (Xbox 360)

Started off in [ACC] and eventually (aXe) before finally losing interest. We ran a few sites and the odd league, and it was great fun for a while, but work had to come first.

Never got my head around the shred stuff.
I was in a car accident a few years back and got whiplash, and my left arm and hand went numb for a very long time. I couldn't even play simple chords and had to re-teach my fingers. I started to work on my right hand a lot while my left was repairing itself and got into hybrid picking so by the time I was playing normally again, my interests had changed somewhat away from rock.

The shred technique is really something I should try out, as done well it can be quite brilliant.

I collect spores, molds and fungus...

On a more serious note, I have ADD with hobbies although messing about with PC's has been a staple for a long while. I'll probably be switching to home DIY stuff if I can manage to get a house by the end of the year.

How long did the numbness last for mate?

Have a coworker who was in a band for 20+ years and then fell off a roof
(shattered wrist, couple broken ribs and internal bleeding) while putting up a sign on the roof of a club where he was doing a benefit gig for a fellow musician. Been 3 years now and he's just barely getting the flexibility back in his fingers. He's been a much more jovial person as of late...

About 14 months before everything got back to normal.
Finger tips were like pins and needles for a long time, and arm felt like your legs do if you've been sat on the bog for too long.

And you're fully recovered now? I ask cos I've had a similar thing in first my left and now both arms for about a year and a half. Doesn't seem to be much actual treatment available. I was just looking for a glimmer of hope really, it's pretty horrible. Glad yours got better anyway!

I originally read that wrong and had visions of the wild west in my head
It really is a terrible thing to happen to someone. I've had to quit with bands for the time being. My first operation on my back was about 10 years ago. I was messing with a few bands last year and had another operation in July 08. I thought things would be good and then the disk that he operated on snapped, and in January, I had surgery again. About 8 weeks after that, the sciatica came back, but was mild, untill about a month ago when my dog got into a fight, and splitting them up caused ny back to go again. Since then, it's been pretty sore, but the doc wants me to ride it out. I've been on Diclomax, Diazapam, Dihydrocodeine, Tramadol, Diclophenic sodium, Quinine Bisulphate, Movelat cream, Tramadol hydrochloride, Amitriptyline, Movicol, and today was put on Naprosin and Gabapentin. :(
Look after your back (y)

Self blow jobs are dangerous

Yeah, I'd be lying if I said they weren't better even if sometimes I have to warm up a little more than normal to get full flight. Feel free to discuss your problem more if you wish either here or via pm and if I can offer any help or advice I'll be only too glad to help.

I wouldn't wish back problems on anyone, BB...nasty stuff.

I guess the only thing that saved this guy from getting killed was that he used to do stunt work (in a Wild West show, no less!!) at a now defunct amusement park here (Phoenix, AZ.) and did a lot of stunt falls so, apparently, his second instinct from learning how to do stunt falls kicked in and saved him from busting open his head on the asphalt below.
