Great performance by the youngsters and a really satisfying game to watch, Lookman has surely earned a squad place for Sunday after that performance. It's just really good to see us play decent football again, another win boosts morale and we need a bit of that.
Thought one player still didn't pull his weight again but other than that a good performance.

I like the look of Feeney in defence. Last minute, covered their attacker right to the touchline. As soon as the ball went out of play, he SPRINTED back into position in the centre of our defence in 2-3 seconds. How many established first-teamers do you see doing that...?

Caught my eye too.

Was impressed with the performance of all bar two. Schneiderlin was non existent and Mirallas didn't do enough to warrant anything other than a firm shove out of the club.

Lookman was excellent and does deserve a chance in the main squad. Feeney was a rock and Hornby whilst quite was always in good positions.

Good result, and some good performances, but lets not get carried away, this was a glorified training game, and, while a win is always good for confidence, in the grand scheme of things, this result means next to nothing.

That said, Lookman was the stand out performer, was my MOTM, and is probably the only player from tonight who'll be pushing for a place on Sunday.

I went with Beni even though Lookman was the obvious choice. I thought Schneiderlin played well, although no doubt the haters on here won't agree. Mirrales in the first half looked good although he ran out of steam in the last quarter of the game.

Sunday will be a very, very different game. Lookman was the standout performer tonight, and may have won himself a place, at the very least on the bench, for the Derby. The rest of the young ones also showed what they can do and will offer promising options for the future, but not this weekend.
Sunday's game will offer much less opportunity for young creative types, and for our part, we will probably field a very boring stoic defensive line up, in the hope of frustrating the RS into a goalless draw, or, if the football gods could be so kind to us on that ground for a change, we grab a winner in injury time. A man can dream, right?
