Lookman
Vlasic
Feeney
Baningime

head and shoulders above anyone else
Pretty much agree with this. Voted Lookman who had one of those games but Vlasic looked just as tricky at times. Feeney was impressive with his positioning and the manner in which he marshalled the defence. Beni caught out of position a few times as he was drawn into the middle by his natural instinct, but he is so calm and in control in possession he was a pleasure to watch. If we don't bring in another CM in January, I can see him playing alongside Gana regularly in the second half of the season. He'll overtake Davies in the pecking order IMO.

Both our starting debutants can be proud of their performance and Broadhead showed great signs of promise too.

Apart from some poor performances from 2 or 3 of the senior players on display, the only disappointment from last night was not seeing a bit more of Anthony Gordon. I know he's still only 16, but I was really looking forward to seeing how he fared against open age opposition last night and 5 minutes just wasn't long enough.

What pleased me most last night was the way we broke in numbers and got back in numbers too. Something we just haven't seen this season. There was one break they had late in the game from one of our corners, and players like Vlasic, Lookman, Feeney etc were breaking their necks to get back goal side, even though we were 3-0 up and the game was effectively over. Fantastic attitude, which all our kids seem to have.

Our kids may not be quite ready to be regular starters at the moment, but nobody can fault their attitude and commitment at a time most of our senior players have been throwing the towel in.

You rate Baningime more highly than Davies? I'd like to see them together...

Agree about the subs, when 2-0 or 3-0 up why not chuck them all on for 10-15mins in a dead rubber.

For the 'not regular starters' comment, I think if we look at this as a squad game;
DCL
Lookman
Vlasic
Davies
Baningime
Holgate
Kenny
Dowell
Feeney

That's 9 players (and ive no doubt forgotten someone), two more additions and we'd have half a team which saves us a fortune on players (meaning we can focus on using our money for better signings) and also breeds tremendous spirit at the club with so many coming through our ranks...if we were to add in Ryan Sessegnon and a young keeper to develop long term then I personally think it would benefit us greatly.

Agreed.

At the moment I'd add Sandro to that list too mate. if he's still here after January. Plus Henry may be coming in the summer if we can sort out his work permit.

Then I wouldn't rule out the likes of Walsh or even players like Connolly, Robinson and Williams. That all adds up to a strong young back up squad, many of whom I believe could go on to be very good Premier/International standard footballers.

Great win, but why were there so many empty seats?

When I looked on the Everton website a day before the game, there were only about 50 tickets left from an allocation of 1,400 - but there can't have been more than half that number there.

Could so many people have bought them just for the credits and then stayed at home?
