Good run out for the youngsters/fringe first teamers.

Despite being a meaningless game, it's nice to keep the momentum going in terms of both wins and clean sheets.

Little Lookman, no doubt.

I hope he plays a big part on Sunday......coming off the bench while there is still lots of time to make an impact.

I would love to see him start but I think that is unlikely.

Lookman always a danger. Should come off the bench in the second half against tiring legs, Vasic always looks a different class to me in the full first team. Got to be great to be one of the yoof who got a debut tonight. Beni is a veteran now!

sorry but that was terrible, it was like watching a school game or a training session, not what everton is all about, you know it's bad when the manager won't even go....does any one know what the crowd was?

It was fun watching it and seeing the youngsters play their hearts out - and a decent performance for the travelling fans as well - but that team would have been taken apart by a half-decent Championship side.

Klaassen looked improved with his passes and awareness but still as though he is running through treacle when he tries to track a man.

Didn't think Schneiderlin and Mirallas were that bad, but then they should look OK against that opposition.

Charsley and Hornby had fine debuts, I thought. Feeney looked like he belonged at the back although, as with Pennington, I'd be concerned about how slowly he turns when someone is running at him.

Baningime had good touches but is in no way a full back while Besic must have left his game brain back in Bosnia for safe keeping.

Mainly Cypriot and English.

Also I’m sure it was a game of football, that seems to be what Everton is all about.

...like everybody else, I was really encouraged by the performance of the youngsters. Feeney looks a senior pro and he’s only 18. I can see why he’s leapfrogged others to skipper the U23s and he got my vote for such a mature performance.

Let’s not forget, this was the first proper open age game of football for many of these kids. It’s a massive step up to suddenly play against men. I like Hornby, he just looks like a player. It’s a shame Mirallas didn’t look to capitalise on the numerous flick ons. Fine cameo from Broadhead, the big difference was that Vlasic exploited his flick on to score a fine goal. Vlasic is definitely a central midfielder.

Chuffed I witnessed the debut of Anthony Gordon. It could be the most memorable aspect of last night’s game.

I dont get the negative comment above ? Well done to the kids who managed a win against a team that our first team didnt a few weeks ago. I feel confident too in that we have a really strong management team with Sam sending CS to do the job, Sam knows what he is doing.

think he was just being a bell for the sake of it

regardless of the opposition (that drew against Atlanta and Lyon) we won by 3 clear goals with basically a youth team. We beat what was in front of us. What more did you expect and your speculative statement that a half decent Championship team would have beat is just.that....speculation. Many many positives in that game far outweighing negatives. Movement up front was good, support up front was good....something we rarely see from the so called first team as they showed against the same opposition at goodison. Great to see the kids play some good football and not look overawed. Positives all round

Greedy as Fookman for me had a good game, would have been spectacular if he learned how to release the ball every now and again.
