Kane was shot to bits mate. I dont think he bothered one single defender in this tournament. He got paid big bucks to make calls and i think he'll privately regret the loyalty to kane. The semi final against netherlands. The movement from watkins pulling defenders out of position and giving cole palmer the option of a pass. I cant for the life of me work out why he went back to kane in the final.

Typical FA manager, and the next one will no doubt be the same. In my lifetime only Terry Venables managed to get the best out of a group of players. Southgate missed a big opportunity against Italy at Wembley. Other than that he did a decent job, and we lost to every "big" side we played other than beating Germany thanks to them missing a sitter. However we did beat the teams we "should" beat which is more than most England managers.

Our defence is not good enough currently, we need to replace Walker and find a new left back. Maybe we can go permanently to a back 3 of Guehi,Stones and Branthwaite.

Well his decision to not take a fit left back at all was certainly a factor imo.

The most boring and tactics ignorant England Manager i have ever seen. Good riddance. Won nothing and only got through to this final by being overly defensive in a really poor group, getting favourable draws which we were lucky in. First time we played a good team was the final and only Pickford stopped us being beaten by more.

Sure, Managers before him (since 66) haven't won anything either but we at least used to be exciting to watch. Would rather watch paint dry than watch Southgate's England. It is not football, it is boreball.
