If they get fined lets say £50m they just wont buy any players it will have an impact. I think the owners will start pulling back anyway and that will result in less money for transfers. At the height of my support i like all blues fans had our finest team ripped apart and a period we have never recovered from for an injustice that our team & fans had nothing to do with.

I agree it's wrong and throw the bloody book at them; but this notion of preferential treatment because they are who they are is BS

There is no rule of treatment for this, they could get expelled from PL (in theory) or like La liga get off scott free

If you don't have punishments and future deterrents then something like this will almost certainly happen again.

So you dish out some form of punishments now, but change the rules of the PL and UEFA so that any future unsanctioned breakaway would result in enormous fines and expulsion.
