I would take our reaction to Southamptons WUMs as a pinch of salt. I'm sure if we went over to the Man Utd forum talking sh1t we'd get the same response. The internet is an angry place.

Apparently, Iceland are giving away free packets of leicester city 'Salt & victory' flavoured walker's crisps with anything you buy.

Free crisps, people!! Didn't get them when anyone else won the league...

Is it joke? No, Everton is bigger than Leicester in many ways.
Of course, result of assessment (in this case - which club is bigger) is depend from definition (what does it mean "bigger") and indicators of assessment.

For me, assessment "how big" football club is including:

1. Social dimension:
- support / fanbase (not only actual numbers of fans, but also loyalty, attendances during whole history, including bad times)
- structure of fanbase
- form and intensity of support (there is a huge difference between local fan with season ticket, attending every home and away match + buying souvenirs from official shop and foreigner "fan" never attending match, buying fake souvenirs from cheap shop and just following club on internet).
- fans economic impact (amount of money bringing by supporters / fans)
- attractiveness (for general football public, for sponsors, TV...).

2. History:
- history (whole history of club - football exist from 19th century),
- achievements (not only trophies),
- way how club achieved trophies,
- other things how club contributed significantly to football / sport.

3. Economic dimension:
- economic power - current, during history
- economic stability (it´s easy throw money for a few season for achieving something and then be relegated (Leeds etc.)

etc. This indicators also we have to divide to min. 2 groups - history and nowadays.

In most of indicators Everton are bigger club.

Sorry, one more point - "number of kids / guys with shirt in city centre / shop" is terrible indicator (just my opinion). It is not a number from correct sociological inquiry, so real numbers about number of guys wearing shirt of some club can be very different. Also - are they just mannequins (guys wearing every year shirt of actual winner as kind of fashion), gloryhunters? Are they support club really (go to match, put money to the club...)? We don´t know any of this important information from above mentioned "indicator".

Depends where you are I reckon. In the UK probably not, just because of our history.

Abroad in places like south east Asia they probably are, they're the champions so will have far more TV coverage and general talk than us finishing in the bottom half and getting to a couple of semi finals. Fair play to them.

Leicester has a population of around three hundred thousand yet they currently have over 5 million followers on Facebook which is clearly down to their overseas popularity just now.We have over two million despite being also rans for two decades.

Bunch of inbred horrible wife beaters, they'll be back to mediocrity very soon. Any parent that puts his child on a Vardy shirt needs a stern talking to, he's a dispicable human being.

Fairplay to Leicester, but I am sick of hearing avbout it now !!

+1

I am made up they won it but please.....just STFU now

There is a BBC documentary on some night this week.....The Leicester Miracle" or sommat.

They will soon be twinning Leicester with Lourdes.
