Are we to blame?

Are the fans to blame?

Now hear me out on this but I’ve been thinking that there has to be something else that is a consistent in the failure of repeated Everton managers with an owner backing them financially. Obviously it’s not nice to hear this but do we as fans cause the toxicity around our club that means all are doomed to fail? Not saying it’s entirely the fans fault but the atmosphere of hysteria created by Evertonians is worse than Geordies, young players abused by fat dars or over hyped by FIFA obsessed millennials don’t stand a chance. Current narrative is that Moshiri is failing Everton but in my mind the fans are in cahoots with him after celebrating wildly a rich stranger taking over the club more than we celebrated the last trophy in 1995. Evertonians deserve better is a strap line used often but why do they deserve better and is this part of the entitled narrative that burdens anyone trying to fix the problem? Some, well many, Evertonians sabotage managerial appointments from the start as it wasn’t the manager they wanted and scouted themselves, so want to be proved right in their heads by the manager’s failure rather than Everton success.
On the scale of 'accountability', I'd place the rank and file Everton supporter, somewhat well down the list in culpability, for the farce, the parody, that this club has become. I genuinely believe that Everton Football Club is ridden and riven with rotten uselessness. The toxicity of us supporters to such mismanagement is entirely appropriate. If anything, I would like to see more febrile crowd reaction to to the debacle unfolding before us. This club's executive and Board is an effing disgrace

It’s chicken and egg at best.

It’s true that we have our opinions on the different managers appointed since Mr. Moshiri became the owner but none of the managers have proved us wrong by being successful, even Mr. Benitez proved me to be wrong because I thought he would be a winner, Chico I think most Evertonians want the managers appointed to be successful but it just hasn’t happened, they have all failed even though Mr. Moshiri has opened and nearly emptied his wallet for them, let’s see how the next manager fares.

hmmm...the egregious mismanagement by the egg's mum harbours most blame. EFC is awfully run. Yes, the squad is a spineless, pusillanimous convocation of uselessness....but us supporters did not contract that uselessness. Me? I used to love Everton...but this club is like a wayward , terribly parented, petulant child...and I'm angry and sad about that.

Being a dumb tu-quoque laissez-fair relativistic dumbass here, I'd say it's a problem with the culture of football support as a whole. And that it's been going downhill for the past decades.

Of course, this does not absolve our fans of anything. Yeah, sure let's blame the internet but also the susceptiblity of our fan ethos (and team performances) to becoming cynical and/or bitter.

But let's investigate, like: Accepting that yes there's a problem with toxicity, when did it begin?

I dunno, if i were to try and pinpoint it starting with Moshiri i wouldn't be so sure.
If i were to make an honest attempt at one moment in particular, it would be when that guy tried punching a Lyon player with his own son in his arms. Proper toxic. Or maybe that one time in his last season, when John Stones gestured to our home fans to calm down.

Evertonians should learn from kopites who get behind their young players, helping them gain confidence, rather than attacking them because their penis doesnt work anymore and they shacked up with the first girl who accepted them.

....a dysfunctioning penis is an aspect I had not considered Chico...I might have to reconsider my earlier remarks.
