"In 1979, the government advised men to drink no more than 56 units of alcohol a week. This was later reduced to 36 units, then 28 units and then 21 units. Last month, the Chief Medical Officer reduced it once again, this time to 14 units"

If you look back at the historical guidelines for drinking it is amazing. 59 units!!!!!

I think I bob betwen 14 and 21. Need to reduce it a bit I suppose.

Stopped drinking don't enjoy it at the moment

Getting up early and doing weights before work. Easier in summer

I like the drink but it makes me narky

I love drinking. Unfortunately I don't drink often enough nowadays. Most of my friends are sober due to having alcohol problems or medical conditions now so it's all quietened down for me*.

*reading that back looks like I should come to some self realisation but nah, everyone else had the problem I was fine.

Can you repeat the question? I’m pissed out of my chops here.

I could quite easily give up alcohol now I think, but I like a nice glass of wine with food, or a cold beer on a hot day, or a nice brandy or rum as a nightcap (or two) so I prefer to drink in moderation.

Alcoholism is a huge issue in England and a lot of people don't even realize they are alcoholics. I'm at University in my third year and some of the drinking habits of my friends are just insane.
