Are you pulled back in ?

If we can get Gana back and sign a striker who can get off to a good start straight away I think we can have a very positive season.

It's the injury crisis I am fearing most. Happy with Lampard and Thelwell's strategy so far.

I didn't renew my ST as I missed too many games. I was feeling quite disconnected from the club when that Spanish bloke was manager but I think most felt something improve, albeit with only slightly better points per game once Frank arrived.

The top of the league seems settled at the moment but it won't take much to blow it wide open. Conte will leave Spurs within 18 months. City and RS are managerial change away from being United. There will also be a few middling clubs flying very close to the sun P&S wise soon. If we can get our house in order, things could get very fruity.

I'm pulled back in 100%.

Been here before. Think it was the year we bought our friend Sandro. Everyone was made up and really positive.

Look how that turned out!

It made sense at the time, just like these signings make sense. We haven't got the headroom with P&L or the pull to get in guarantees so it can always go south.

That's why all we can do is applaud them for continually trying. The drawbridge would have been pulled up long ago just like what happened Sunderland under Short and Villa under Lerner if we had a pure business person in charge.

Not really but that’s more a reflection of my apathy for the sport in general I think. I had a season long break from the Everton and whilst watching the Chelsea game I did come to the realisation that I’m nowhere near invested as I used to be. Gone are the days where I’ll be screaming at the telly/pitch calling people like Steven Gerrard every name under the sun or jumping up off the sofa and cheering I think. I’ll probably get to a few games this year when my old man can’t go with his season ticket but that’ll be more for a day out taking photos.

I’m rambling so TL;DR…nah

Yes definitely back in..... club has backed Frank with the cheque-book.
Not Chelski type money, but some decent signings come in to boost the squad.
Feeling good about 22-23 season, we've just got to show Frank and the team some love & support, even if there's a few bumps in the road

Leicester , Chelsea , Man utd , Newcastle and a momentous night in May.
We where all pulled back in after fearing the worst and hating everything Everton.

Roll on ,Richy sold talk we are badly skint one or two loans and thats it.
Lessons not learned we all say.

5 new signings and what looks like a plan developing .

Are you pulled back in again ?

Everton I Hate / Love you.
I was never out, down - but not out.

If you think of the managers Frank has worked under (and presumably learned from) then it doesnt surprise me that he is trying to shore up our defence and midfield. A few have said our signings are all defensive, but that doesn't concern me as it is defensively where we have been so utterly awful last season. It didnt matter how many we scored, as soon as we conceded a corner of free kick, we conceded a goal. Then the heads either went down, or fell off leading to a beating. The new signings should stop us conceding quite so readily, should galvanise the team if we go down a goal and stop people from retreating into their shell. If we stop conceding goals, our midfielders and forwards only have to score one single goal to win three points. Some of the great footballing teams have been crafted based on that philosophy. We had to sort our defence out, we had to inject some drive and hunger into our midfield, we had to get some leaders to prevent the quilts from flagging. We have done all that, a striker will be fab, but even if we dont manage to get one, this has been a good window. By this time next year a load more of the parasites will be getting moved on and hopefully we will be starting to become a tough opponent and a team with a strategy and a style of play that gives us the prospect of silverware.
