I like this move, I think there is a decent player in Broja, but he needs to get healthy and get a run of games before we judge. A few thoughts:

• Low risk, just wages with option to buy. No wages are being paid until healthy.
• Need to remember he is only 22 years old (23 in Sept.); realistically do you all expect a 20 or 21 year old striker to score double digit goals every year in the PL (how many do?)? He is young and needs a bit of time to develop. Fulham did not work for him and Southampton he scored about what DCL did this year. Lots of smaller sub appearances for Chelsea it looks like.
• Agree with others, the move does make more sense if DCL is off to Saudi or shipped out in January; Should we have taken 12 mil from Chelsea for DCL and just run with Beto and then Broja/Chermiti in Oct/Nov? A lot of wages to sit 3 strikers once everyone is healthy.
• I do have some concern that this loan move may block game time for Chermiti who I have high hopes for, and if Chermiti does not play much this season, he will already be halfway through his 4 year deal by next summer. If DCL is still here after January and all are healthy, maybe Chermiti is loaned for half a season.
• The 30 mil option seems high for the production thus far, but we can simply decline. DCL will be gone next summer, so if Broja gets on track, and if the club sale is resolved and we have some funds, maybe our fortune finally turns heading into the new stadium.

But since Moyes , we have signed bolasie, Williams, Walcott, tuson, niasse, delph, young , coco, gomes, alcaraz , kone and many more that were playing crap and then continued to play crap, then our team slowly turned to crap and now we are skint and crap …

Moyes used to do a lot of due diligence and also improved a lot of his players through coaching …

Apart from Branthwaite , which I’m not necessarily giving dyche credit for … I can’t think of any players that have improved since dyche has started coaching them.

Maybe mylenko? Slightly , but I wouldn’t say that was coaching it’s just he is finding his feet in the league… he has not improved 1% in attacking under dyche… I’d say that all of our attackers have got worse in terms of output / goals and assists… possession down , shots down , passes down, accuracy down…. We could sign 19 year old R9 and he would spend most of the match on the half way line watching 10 team mates kicking the ball to the opposition gk

Oh god no! Went to bed with food poisoning and woke up to this. The one player we’ve been linked to like a bad smell for a couple of years. Plus what shape is he in if he’s already failed a medical and this obligation to buy better not be for the 30M that Ipswich were willing to pay. No way is he worth anywhere near that amount.
