Get in.

I have ZERO issues with what happened in January. Why would a foreign player with no affiliation with the club sign for a club in such turmoil/ protests taking place and in catastrophe and turn down Spurs?

I would do exactly the same thing. Eff playing for Everton right now, they're (insert exploitave here).

He 100% adds quality to our squad and is VERY MUCH NEEDED.

You'll all have his name on the back of your shirts after his 1st performance.

What d'ya mean ya don't buy shirts anymore?

Freakazoids

For the record - I'm okay with this, primarily because I trust Dyche's judgement on the character of his players. If he thinks for one second that he fancies himself as a bit of a Billy Bigbollocks then Dyche would bring him right back down to Earth I reckon lol

Lad chose exposure with a CL team over a relegation bound rabble of a club. Spurs came in late and made him look ratty, you'd be silly to turn them down though.

He can make amends by having a solid season with us, hope the lad kicks on.
And he was entitled to do that.

Any club with any self respect - or options - would, however, draw the logical conclusion and move on to players who were a little less quick to renege on whatever deal had been agreed. Or, being purely transactional, move on to anybody else at all for obvious reasons with no hard feelings. I mean, it's not that this lad is the best forward in the world.

Instead, back we go unimaginatively, cap in hand, for sloppy seconds.

Yes. The "feelgood" transfer of the summer, this.

Let's hope he scores 20 goals.

/Sigh.

Have to disagree. It was always a stupid move - he was never getting a game ahead of Kane, Son, Richarlison, Kulusevski... even Porro got ahead of him.

If you're going somewhere for a few months for exposure, make sure you're going to play.

Why would he sign for Everton now ahead of AC Milan?... He could dig in and go elsewhere if he wanted. Lesson learnt, perhaps.
I think from an outsider perspective we’d think that he wouldn’t play but it spurs told him he would, why wouldn’t he back himself - I’d hate to consider a striker that didn’t back themselves to score goals playing alongside players of that quality

I think it may be lesson learnt because whilst he might fancy himself at Milan, he KNOWS he’ll get games for us

I think this is right. We needed the agent to submit paperwork (possibly the player's registration to the FA/PL IIRC), and then they went down to Spurs.

The club takes some of the blame for not getting it fully finalised before doing the media, but the player basically walked halfway down the aisle and left us at the altar
Was listening Le Tissier the other day, he actually signed for Spurs in January and was to finish the season with Southampton, then his better half at the time decided she did not want to live in London, so phoned his agent and said im not going and staying at Southampton, and that was that. Some years ago, however, player power has increased from the mid 90s. Lesson is wait until the player is registered as an Everton player before any announcement .

From a footballing perspective, does he track back? Because if not then will Dyche even give him the time of day?

He’s effectively the Townsend replacement and a good step up in quality from that.

McNeil Iwobi Gray Danjuma

If Gray leaves and we could get Gnonto done that would be our wide positions sorted and improved.
