Confirmed Signing Arnaut Danjuma

I don't - he wanted gametime/exposure and he opted to sign for a team on loan where he should have known he wouldn't get a kick.

I get we weren't an attractive proposition but for his situation - us vs Spurs on loan for a few months - it should have been a no brainer.
I reckon it’s a case of his ego ruling his decision making. Probably backed himself to get in the Spurs team ahead of those players.

Modern players aren’t exactly known for their humility.

End of the day this is a sensible signing as a loan. He's a proven player with plenty of experience and plenty of versatility and what that does is it lets you bring in young players like Gnonto, Toure or Brobbey without so much pressure for them to hit the ground running. A year of Danjuma allows a bedding in period for any young signings, and if it goes well we can always look to keep him beyond that.

Well if he plays well and scores goals, then all will be quickly forgotten. Football fans are easily won over with good performances, myself included.

But if he doesn't perform, then we will look extremely silly with this. It feels like a gamble and slightly desperate to me, but I guess time will tell...
It is a gamble, like it was in January but it’s a necessary one. As you said if he bags or creates a few goals, no one will care about what happened 7 months ago

What surprises me about this is dyche has given the ok with his apparent attitude problems. Moyes turned him down for that reason and I see them pretty similar in the characters of players they want in their teams. Hopefully dyche can get him fit and firing and he bags a few goals for us.

Lad chose exposure with a CL team over a relegation bound rabble of a club. Spurs came in late and made him look ratty, you'd be silly to turn them down though.

He can make amends by having a solid season with us, hope the lad kicks on.

Opted to try and break into a team chasing champions league rather than join our train wreck. Although we don't really know what his decision was based on, perhaps he preferred to live in London? Maybe the toilets at Finch Farm smell or something? There are probably a few more things people take into account when moving countries than we think.
