Arouna Kone

Never had a proper chance. Not been fit, and when half fit has been played as number 10. After that cup game against us people on here where crying out for a forward like him, he ran us ragged. Like Robles, if he got a run of games I think people would change their opinion. He's not a 20 goal a season striker, but we're talking about our third/fourth choice striker here. If he weighs in with plus 5 goals next year off the bench that's probably a decent return considering its Lukaku then Naismith maybe Mirallas before Kone even gets a sniff.

If you had seen him for wigan you would have seen how poor him and alcaraz were.

They were very attacking and he has so many chances in fact he probably missed 4/5.

Imagine £6mil and 1 year left, surely hes off?

dunno lads , I am usually fairly impatient with players who dont perform and ai dont have any major affection for Kone over other players however if there is a player I think could turn it round it could be him.
I said it here many times when Martinez took over here that I had seen Wigan play a fair few times live in his last season and Kone and McCarthy were head and shoulders above the rest in terms of ability.
For whatever reason he hasnt looked a shadow of that player for us, if he can regain that form he will do the bizz I have no doubts. I hope he does for our sake not his.

22 appearances and 1 goal.

If he had a chance, he would still miss it.

Without question 1 of the worst footballers ive witnessed play for Everton and 100% the biggest waste of money in our history so far.

Sad thing is that we need a striker already so he is 100% going to be a thing this season. Unless we were to bring in another Eto'o type signing he's our second choice striker. Even worse is because he's had more or less 2 of his 3 year contract out injured he's likely gonna get a 1 year extention.

Should never have been bought. Absolute cart even with a clean bill of health. Should cut our losses and learn a lesson when the contract expires. I'd say do it sooner but no way are we gonna be able to get two strikers this summer.

lets give him this season and see. 6 million is a lot to spunk on what he has given so far, which is pure dung lets be honest , nothing. we have nothing to lose now by giving him a chance. no one will sign him, he is playing for his dinner so who knows. He might come good

i thought that was his problem last season....poor bugger couldnt eat....mo' fat ?? Mo' slim !! Bloomin ramadam.

Oh can't we just get shut of him and ship him to West Ham, they seem to be copying all our transfer targets anyway so why not give them our players, he's utter sh*te

The player we bought, is different to the player we now have. He was decent for Wigan, and well worth 6 million on his Wigan form.

One of the worst players you've seen play for Everton? Have you forgotten Stephen Hughes, Alex N'yarko, Gareth Farrelly, John O' Kane, Brett Angell et al?

Injuries aside, I'd put him on par with Bily, in terms of a bad signing.

I thought he was rubbish at Wigan.

And I rate all those players you mentioned more than Kone.

Hes not even close to Bily, who actually scored some cracking goals in his time here.

He's been a much worse signing than Billy so far, Billy scored 9 from 77 appearances on the wing, Kone has 1 in 22, we got 2/3's of our money back on Billy as well, we won't get much if anything for Kone.
